Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mariano Marcilla walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Leocadio Fuente might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umbruso Matuta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leocadio Fuente ran back to his position shaking his head. Argenis Aranguren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oidor Udobro having to make a save. Oidor Udobro stood somewhat misplaced when Palban Corniero came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 14 minute. Argenis Aranguren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Oidor Udobro made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Palban Corniero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oidor Udobro. That made the score 2-1 in the 18 minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Guanapa's goal looked a bit too open when Leocadio Fuente came free, but Umbruso Matuta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Argenis Aranguren came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Guanapa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Argenis Aranguren couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Guanapa defense, Dimas Balsera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umbruso Matuta. The Guanapa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umbruso Matuta should have stopped the shot. Guanapa's Rioja Valls got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Argenis Aranguren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Leocadio Fuente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Umbruso Matuta. Guanapa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leocadio Fuente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Umbruso Matuta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leocadio Fuente, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leocadio Fuente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gutxi Cañete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Umbruso Matuta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umbruso Matuta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leocadio Fuente's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argenis Aranguren in the 63rd minute of play forced Porlamar's goalkeeper Oidor Udobro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porlamar's Oidor Udobro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argenis Aranguren in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Guanapa getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Feliciano Gainza hit a great ball. If Gutxi Cañete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Argenis Aranguren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oidor Udobro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Argenis Aranguren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Argenis Aranguren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oidor Udobro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saturnin Camus hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Rioja Valls shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oidor Udobro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leocadio Fuente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
