Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Curaguire's Nicolas Gavilan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Ejército de Cristo Rey getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cefero Oterino hit a great ball. In the 7th match minute, Curaguire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perpinya Santos to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Guipuzkoa Reve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Vazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merexildo Entero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. John Vazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merexildo Entero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Vazan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Curaguire's zone, Merexildo Entero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Vazan came out of the goal and Merexildo Entero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zarando Notes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Gavilan in the 21st minute of the match. If Merexildo Entero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curaguire's John Vazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guipuzkoa Reve in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Nicolas Gavilan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curaguire's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Gavilan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarando Notes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valente Argüelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Zarando Notes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valente Argüelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Zarando Notes made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Nicolas Gavilan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zarando Notes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. John Vazan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guipuzkoa Reve, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Ejército de Cristo Rey's Cefero Oterino got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merexildo Entero was the one to do the kick off. Merexildo Entero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but John Vazan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Perpinya Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Curaguire's Albino Jubera got a free kick in the 59th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Ejército de Cristo Rey's goal looked a bit too open when Valente Argüelles came free, but Zarando Notes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
