Criston Miramontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Machado Remesal having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Sesuldo Matamoros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penascal and the Bernal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Penascal's Sesuldo Matamoros got a free kick in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Criston Miramontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Machado Remesal was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Criston Miramontes in the 12th minute of play forced Penascal's goalkeeper Machado Remesal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Bernal FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Criston Miramontes made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Penascal's Guillelmus Giralte got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Criston Miramontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Panfilo Cabanela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernal FC's Ximen Escolar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveiro Tejadillo in the 66th minute of play. When Maurilio Sana came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Penascal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurilio Sana couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Penascal booed when Bernal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olando Mañon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Oliveiro Tejadillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximen Escolar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Criston Miramontes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ximen Escolar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Piarres Velicia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Machado Remesal made a huge save. Ximen Escolar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliveiro Tejadillo in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Criston Miramontes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Machado Remesal, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Piarres Velicia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bernal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Piarres Velicia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Machado Remesal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bernal FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
