The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mandigal FC's Cayetano Basanta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mandigal FC from getting a goal against them. Tiago Adriano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cerilo Esnarriaga in the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in AD Cosmopólita's zone, Cerilo Esnarriaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Adriano came out of the goal and Cerilo Esnarriaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frisco Barcenas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Basanta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joselito Chanza, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cayetano Basanta made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Frisco Barcenas sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joselito Chanza in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Basanta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Joselito Chanza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cerilo Esnarriaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tiago Adriano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iaki Molla made a kick off. In the 55th minute Mandigal FC were awarded a corner. Austin Padilla went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Edorta Lecin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cerilo Esnarriaga got free with Tiago Adriano in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Austin Padilla sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AD Cosmopólita's Tiago Adriano didn't even have to move. If Frisco Barcenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayetano Basanta came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by AD Cosmopólita's Joselito Chanza. But to his dismay, Joselito Chanza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Cayetano Basanta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frisco Barcenas's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Joselito Chanza scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Basanta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Joselito Chanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayetano Basanta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joselito Chanza in the 99th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AD Cosmopólita fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mandigal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
