After a rather tough play, Guacamyo's Erroman Gatica got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Silban Monterinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Guacamyo's Manolo Algara fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 21 minutes, Gomez Serna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marasi and the Guacamyo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gomez Serna hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cristian Arista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Arista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerardo Ruiloba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 38 minutes, Jorrin Balza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guacamyo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorrin Balza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 46 played minutes Guacamyo got a freekick which was hit by Jorrin Balza. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 56th minute Jorrin Balza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frances Isasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Guacamyo's goal looked a bit too open when Eguzki Conejero came free, but Jerardo Ruiloba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerardo Ruiloba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Oquendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
