Llorian Urreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lertxun Yturrondo in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute Eneko Egaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llorian Urreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Arauca FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Constantino Estany hit a great ball. Tancredo Trevilla hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Lertxun Yturrondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Llorian Urreta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. When Lertxun Yturrondo fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kanavayen's protests and gave Lertxun Yturrondo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Lertxun Yturrondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Maurin Ozollo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Arauca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurin Ozollo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Kanavayen's Larra Rosete got control of the ball when Txomin Henao tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Arauca FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kanavayen:s goal. Odon Caseres placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Lertxun Yturrondo in the 43rd minute of play forced Arauca FC's goalkeeper Llorian Urreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Arauca FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kanavayen were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lertxun Yturrondo to strike the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Arauca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lertxun Yturrondo came free, but Llorian Urreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurin Ozollo in the 66th minute of play forced Kanavayen's goalkeeper Larra Rosete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timo Elejalde's late challenge caught a Arauca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timo Elejalde helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kanavayen's Timo Elejalde got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Maurin Ozollo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurin Ozollo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lertxun Yturrondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Arauca FC's Llorian Urreta got control of the ball when Eneko Egaña tried to sneak it across the goal line. Txomin Henao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larra Rosete having to interfere. The Kanavayen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kanavayen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
