Eufrasio Lapenya hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Borregos FC's Marcos Tohias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Zumaya in the 23rd minute of play. Marin Zumaya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Tohias having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Sendoa Santisso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Tohias. Borregos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sendoa Santisso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marcos Tohias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Zumaya in the 31st minute of play. Marcos Tohias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Zumaya in the 33rd minute of the match. After 47 played minutes, Pancho's Hug Arona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Tohias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pancho reached it.

Piarres Fernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eguen Sara, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Pancho booed when Borregos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santana Boñal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
