Academia Puerto Cabello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino Rioz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urko Caraballo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipo Maeda saved Academia Puerto Cabello from getting behind. Tuste Castorena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lore Palomares, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Felipo Maeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Villarias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26thth minute of the game Barto Carcedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Puerto Cabello's Felipo Maeda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felipo Maeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barto Carcedo in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Academia Puerto Cabello's Angelino Lorencio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The referee ignored Academia Puerto Cabello's protests and gave Angelino Lorencio a yellow card for diving instead. Pirro Reborio went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Yalauna booed when Academia Puerto Cabello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipo Maeda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 60 minutes, Sabino Rioz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Puerto Cabello and the Yalauna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felipo Maeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barto Carcedo in the 61st minute of the match.
