An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Rios in the 11th minute of play forced Coral's goalkeeper Pepe Pareja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, maracaibo's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Castrejana came free, but Aznaro Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Hayri Teren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordarius Gandarillas made in the 22nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fabricio Palafox however managed to control. If Xzavion Espejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pepe Pareja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Rios in the 25th minute of play. Aznaro Aballe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Virgilio Castrejana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Hayri Teren in the 30th minute of play forced Coral's goalkeeper Pepe Pareja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes maracaibo got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Dolmos. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Virgilio Castrejana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coral's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgilio Castrejana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aznaro Aballe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, Virgilio Castrejana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aznaro Aballe. Virgilio Castrejana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 39 minutes, Silvino Lamas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coral and the maracaibo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Coral got a freekick which was hit by Silvino Lamas. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Hayri Teren in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pepe Pareja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fabricio Palafox fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coral's protests and gave Fabricio Palafox a yellow card for diving instead. 44 minutes into the match, Ahmet Hayri Teren notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Coral's Pepe Pareja. Pepe Pareja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sadurni Gandulla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Aznaro Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Castrejana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Coral fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, maracaibo's Pieter-Jan Iansens got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pepe Pareja. 2-3 became the score in the 59th minute when Ahmet Hayri Teren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Rigoberto Dolmos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Hayri Teren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Pepe Pareja when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Coral booed when maracaibo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Hayri Teren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aznaro Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sadurni Gandulla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Sadurni Gandulla notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of maracaibo's Aznaro Aballe. Ahmet Hayri Teren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepe Pareja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Virgilio Castrejana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aznaro Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coral's Virgilio Castrejana suffered a concussion in the 86th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Berbiz Payon charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berbiz Payon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, one of maracaibo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for maracaibo. The referee gave Coral a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Santi Feito, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of maracaibo's Aznaro Aballe. 4-3. With an all-out effort, maracaibo's Pepe Pareja threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cayetano Rios, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94thth minute of the game Cayetano Rios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coral's Pepe Pareja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pepe Pareja made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Ahmet Hayri Teren sent off a good shot on target. After 95 minutes of play Coral's Fabricio Palafox was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of maracaibo booed when Coral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Palafox didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Cayetano Rios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pepe Pareja was relentless in the 100th minute of the game. Coral's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
