Conrado Carvajal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertol Idigoras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute Izcarigua were awarded a corner. Daunte Solarriba went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Izcarigua 's corner Daunte Solarriba fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bertol Idigoras quite easily take care of the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Daunte Solarriba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertol Idigoras skillfully saved the ball. Joao Vidania fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertol Idigoras having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Joao Vidania had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertol Idigoras. Veguitas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joao Vidania was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Larra Cuñat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Larra Cuñat took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andre Mier. Andre Mier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Andre Mier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Larra Cuñat's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Conrado Carvajal might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bertol Idigoras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Carvajal ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Izcarigua 's zone, Larra Cuñat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Mier came out of the goal and Larra Cuñat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Secilia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Andre Mier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Izcarigua getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gaspar Mazarredo hit a great ball. Mazuste Ortega struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Andre Mier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veguitas FC. Rigoberto Secilia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joao Vidania made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Izcarigua 's Conrado Carvajal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bertol Idigoras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 61 minutes into the match, Izcarigua 's goal looked a bit too open when Larra Cuñat came free, but Andre Mier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veguitas FC's Mazuste Ortega got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conrado Carvajal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertol Idigoras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Bertol Idigoras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Mazarredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rigoberto Secilia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Mier having to interfere. Andre Mier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larra Cuñat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Larra Cuñat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Izcarigua getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gilberto Casasola hit a great ball. Conrado Carvajal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosme Robezo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Veguitas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Izcarigua .
