Teodor Zurica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Pliego's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Cantave were furious when Lizer Feito was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cantave! In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Uricao FC. Nayely Negron stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teodor Zurica. 0-1. Teodor Zurica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ekain Herbias, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Pliego in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodor Zurica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Uricao FC booed when Cantave was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Güerga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Pliego recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ekain Herbias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gelmiro Espantoso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Cantave were awarded a corner. Eate Morellana went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Eate Morellana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xamin Ganchegui quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 59 played minutes Cantave got a freekick which was hit by Regis Coronado. Tito Arizmendez's late challenge caught a Uricao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelmiro Espantoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xamin Ganchegui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lopez Erazo during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
