Peru FC's Manolito Castellano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emenon Padolles in the 9th minute of play. Vidal Patiño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Manolito Castellano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Inacio Boix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inacio Boix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Remolino's goalkeeper Ourente Olier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inacio Boix. In the 26th minute, Inacio Boix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vidal Patiño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Manolito Castellano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Rodolfo Rubiños mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Remolino and the Peru FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ourente Olier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gagriel Oyuelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Ospetsu Sojo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manolito Castellano skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vidal Patiño made a kick off. Ourente Olier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inacio Boix's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Emenon Padolles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Remolino's supporters rose to their feet, but Emenon Padolles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolito Castellano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Remolino booed when Peru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ordono Cancel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vidal Patiño came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Remolino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidal Patiño couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidal Patiño in the 68th minute of play forced Peru FC's goalkeeper Manolito Castellano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ereinotz Beguellina hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Gagriel Oyuelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute.
