Lisandro Navariega started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elazar Marchamalo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elequemedo Bobis saved Utupuma FC from getting behind. Fabian Roman might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elequemedo Bobis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabian Roman ran back to his position shaking his head. Frasco Gegunde came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Utupuma FC's Andrew Ozores. But to his dismay, Andrew Ozores quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Elazar Marchamalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Utupuma FC's goalkeeper Elequemedo Bobis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute Lisandro Navariega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frasco Gegunde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elequemedo Bobis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elazar Marchamalo in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Ozores in the 31st minute of play forced Maijia FC's goalkeeper Frasco Gegunde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eulalio Marino hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Elazar Marchamalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Elequemedo Bobis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elazar Marchamalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Elazar Marchamalo made the kick off in the second half. Maijia FC's Frasco Gegunde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Maijia FC from getting a goal against them. After 61 minutes, Buinton Valer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maijia FC and the Utupuma FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Buinton Valer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elequemedo Bobis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elazar Marchamalo in the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Utupuma FC's Olentzaro Grolet got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Andrew Ozores managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utupuma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrew Ozores was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frasco Gegunde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
