Mikolas Sabino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaizko Cubria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lucio Elgueta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Onofre Bodega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, FC Cumaná 1999's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gaizko Cubria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lucio Elgueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolas Sabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Norabana got a freekick which was hit by Sandalio Baranda. Paulino Hurtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hustaz Faso in the 24th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Norabana's goal looked a bit too open when Hustaz Faso came free, but Paulino Hurtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Elgueta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaizko Cubria in the 44th minute. When Gaizko Cubria came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Norabana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaizko Cubria couldn't finish the play.

FC Cumaná 1999's Lucio Elgueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolas Sabino in the 77th minute of play. Gaizko Cubria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
