Justo Boldu charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Boldu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Menin FC booed when Cabanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Boldu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efren Quintairos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Galindo Veidazar. Menin FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The attack was good, but when Laurendi Jacome in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vladimiro Urquiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Galindo Veidazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vladimiro Urquiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galindo Veidazar didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cabanas's Vladimiro Urquiola shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Galindo Veidazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Urquiola in the 29th minute of the match. Artal Merida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cabanas's zone, Artal Merida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Borras came out of the goal and Artal Merida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Menin FC's Xorxe Ziarza got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Pepito Puelles made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Menin FC's goalkeeper Galindo Veidazar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Vladimiro Urquiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Galindo Veidazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurendi Jacome in the 65th minute of the match. Laurendi Jacome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Cabanas getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Oton Otal hit a great ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Vladimiro Urquiola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabanas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Urquiola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurendi Jacome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Galindo Veidazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimiro Urquiola struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Galindo Veidazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabanas. Galindo Veidazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurendi Jacome, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Richie Verdesoto fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menin FC's protests and gave Richie Verdesoto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Menin FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Richie Verdesoto hit a great ball. Vladimiro Urquiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galindo Veidazar having to interfere. The Menin FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cabanas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
