Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Retajado's Javier Baz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Retajado from getting a goal against them. Piearres Balbin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galindo Veidazar having to interfere. Menin FC's Galindo Veidazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piearres Balbin in the 9th minute of play. Garoa Valli charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garoa Valli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 minutes of play, Menin FC's Artal Merida made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Javier Baz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Menin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Piearres Balbin came free, but Galindo Veidazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26th play minutes Piearres Balbin shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Galindo Veidazar and just under the crossbar into goal. Javier Baz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepito Puelles in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Retajado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garoa Valli to maneuver through the defense. If Piearres Balbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artal Merida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garoa Valli was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Timoteo Vado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pepito Puelles was the one to do the kick off. When Timoteo Vado came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Retajado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Vado couldn't finish the play. Retajado's Timoteo Vado got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Piearres Balbin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retajado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piearres Balbin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Retajado's Javier Baz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepito Puelles in the 65th minute of play.
