The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Harkaitz Avina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harkaitz Avina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbes Llosa having to interfere. Epifanio Aramoyana hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Iaki Cuerno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santxol Espejo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Epifanio Aramoyana kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Harkaitz Avina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Cujiguacha's Urbes Llosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harkaitz Avina in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urtsua Anderica in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santxol Espejo saved Taguayre FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liberto Barros got free with Urbes Llosa in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harkaitz Avina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cristo Valcarce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cujiguacha booed when Taguayre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascoal Urreta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urtsua Anderica struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Santxol Espejo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cujiguacha. Cujiguacha's Urbes Llosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liberto Barros in the 63rd minute of play. Santxol Espejo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iaki Cuerno in the 65th minute. In the 65th match minute, Taguayre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elodio Acevez to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Urtsua Anderica in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 68th match minute, Taguayre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioritz Chagavia to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Taguayre FC's Santxol Espejo got control of the ball when Urtsua Anderica tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liberto Barros couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Arnao in the 90th minute of play forced Cujiguacha's goalkeeper Urbes Llosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cujiguacha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cujiguacha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
