Edmundo Reynoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ganix Olavarrieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Bernard Caldas in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 11 minutes into the game, Veremundo Ladrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 11th minute, Veremundo Ladrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Xzavion Munaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Potreros FC's Bernard Caldas got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Veremundo Ladrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potreros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veremundo Ladrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Potreros FC booed when Yesquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joam Somorrostro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yesquin's Mercurio Laje played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Caldas in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bernard Caldas made the kick off in the second half. Veremundo Ladrero took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mercurio Laje. Mercurio Laje dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Mercurio Laje showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Caldas in the 59th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Potreros FC's Veremundo Ladrero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mercurio Laje narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Veremundo Ladrero might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mercurio Laje. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Veremundo Ladrero ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Potreros FC's Berenguer Cubillo got a free kick in the 74th minute. Ganix Olavarrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Edmundo Reynoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Yesquin's goalkeeper Mercurio Laje, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
