When Jeronimo Zaldierna came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Cacaito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Zaldierna couldn't finish the play. Agostinho Herbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Amado Estela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ordono Urtubia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Dimo Isasaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cacaito FC's zone, Maule Mecaur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Estela came out of the goal and Maule Mecaur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maule Mecaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amado Estela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Herbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 33 played minutes Cacaito FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Calderero. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Agostinho Herbi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amado Estela. After a defensive mix-up in Calazanero's zone, Jeronimo Zaldierna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimo Isasaga came out of the goal and Jeronimo Zaldierna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calazanero's Agostinho Herbi got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maule Mecaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agostinho Herbi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cacaito FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fraco Coya hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jeronimo Zaldierna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimo Isasaga was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After recieving a nice pass, Cacaito FC's Honorio Cabrerizo tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ordono Urtubia struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Dimo Isasaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacaito FC. In the 67th minute Jeronimo Zaldierna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimo Isasaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeronimo Zaldierna might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimo Isasaga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeronimo Zaldierna ran back to his position shaking his head. After 72 minutes of play, Cacaito FC's Ordono Urtubia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimo Isasaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maule Mecaur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amado Estela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Herbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Agostinho Herbi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Estela having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ordono Urtubia in the 84th minute of play forced Calazanero's goalkeeper Dimo Isasaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Herbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Herbi in the 91st minute of play forced Cacaito FC's goalkeeper Amado Estela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
