Benetton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Leigh Stutz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egoi Tarsa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rumaldo Piedrahita might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egoi Tarsa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rumaldo Piedrahita ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th play minute Leigh Stutz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Egoi Tarsa. 1-0. Benetton United's Umberto de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raulo Olalla in the 19th minute of play. A hard shot 30 in the game by Leigh Stutz from a close distance when the talented Egoi Tarsa managed to make a qualified save. Aguacatal FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Benetton United booed when Aguacatal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iaki Austria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egoi Tarsa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rocendo Amaya in the 34th minute. Benetton United's Umberto de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iaki Austria in the 38th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Benetton United got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Tosantos. Leigh Stutz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Egoi Tarsa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leigh Stutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nagy Norbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egoi Tarsa having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rocendo Amaya took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egoi Tarsa. Egoi Tarsa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Aguacatal FC's Egoi Tarsa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leigh Stutz in the 61st minute of play. Egoi Tarsa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Nieto in the 64th minute of play. Leigh Stutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, Aguacatal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raulo Olalla to maneuver through the defense. Egoi Tarsa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leigh Stutz in the 71st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Leigh Stutz put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Egoi Tarsa. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leigh Stutz in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egoi Tarsa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egoi Tarsa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leigh Stutz's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match, Perfecto Iñigo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Umberto de Castro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the Aguacatal FC defense, Leigh Stutz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egoi Tarsa. The Aguacatal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egoi Tarsa should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Benetton United were the better team. Benetton United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
