The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Borbon getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Jerrald Cuadrillero hit a great ball. A collision led to Taguao FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Cibran Meleon hit a great ball. Austin Nanclares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pere Vigil in the 6th minute of the match. Iratzeder Villa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Gorri Miera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taguao FC. When Hernan Rubial came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Borbon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Rubial couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute Peter Leyarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gorri Miera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erdiano Salz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Iratzeder Villa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Borbon's Gorri Miera. Gorri Miera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute, Hernan Rubial got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Iratzeder Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gorri Miera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iratzeder Villa struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gorri Miera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taguao FC. When Iratzeder Villa came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Taguao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iratzeder Villa couldn't finish the play. Borbon's Gorri Miera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Leyarte in the 43rd minute of play. If Gaudencio Romai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ticho Santirso's late challenge caught a Taguao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ticho Santirso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Ticho Santirso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Borbon's goal looked a bit too open when Iratzeder Villa came free, but Gorri Miera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratzeder Villa in the 58th minute of play forced Borbon's goalkeeper Gorri Miera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taguao FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Borbon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cibran Meleon took the corner. After taking down the ball on Taguao FC's corner Cibran Meleon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gorri Miera quite easily take care of the ball. Gorri Miera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Leyarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Romai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Austin Nanclares. Taguao FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Romai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Gorri Miera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iratzeder Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Iratzeder Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Borbon got a freekick which was hit by Pere Vigil. After 82 minutes, Pere Vigil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borbon and the Taguao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Taguao FC. Cibran Meleon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gorri Miera. 3-1. Gorri Miera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Leyarte in the 87th minute of the match. Austin Nanclares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaudencio Romai went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Gaudencio Romai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austin Nanclares having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Taguao FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Borbon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
