When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nerio Arango made a kick off. When Bernaldo Tablada came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Carabobo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernaldo Tablada couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Aristides Pedrueza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carabobo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Pedrueza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Ariño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Zamora F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Ruedas came free, but Angelino Ariño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carabobo FC's Romano Serrano got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Leonardo Ruedas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Leonardo Ruedas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Ariño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markel Emesabel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jago Sastre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nerio Arango in the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zamora F.C's zone, Leonardo Ruedas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Ariño came out of the goal and Leonardo Ruedas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Asier Salvadores kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Leonardo Ruedas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Ariño having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Zamora F.C's Herminio Llorengoz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Herminio Llorengoz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zamora F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Herminio Llorengoz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Zamora F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carabobo FC:s goal. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Carabobo FC. Xelo Alvisto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelino Ariño. 1-0. When the referee ended the match the Carabobo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
