In the 9th minute Pagomari Caballero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Villaelrriego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportes Gregor MacGregor's Teofilo Villaelrriego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pagomari Caballero in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Deportes Gregor MacGregor's goal looked a bit too open when Pagomari Caballero came free, but Teofilo Villaelrriego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Deportes Gregor MacGregor's goalkeeper Teofilo Villaelrriego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Carballo. 25 minutes into the match, Albino Carballo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Deportes Gregor MacGregor's Teofilo Villaelrriego. Teofilo Villaelrriego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 37 minutes into the match, Saoa's Albino Carballo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Villaelrriego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albino Carballo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Teofilo Villaelrriego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tipi Fominaya was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Deportes Gregor MacGregor getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tipi Fominaya hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Deportes Gregor MacGregor's goal looked a bit too open when Pagomari Caballero came free, but Teofilo Villaelrriego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Albino Carballo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Saoa getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Olo Cuffaro hit a great ball. Teofilo Villaelrriego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pagomari Caballero in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Pagomari Caballero notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Deportes Gregor MacGregor's Teofilo Villaelrriego. Teofilo Villaelrriego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Saoa had won after a very even match.
