Pellas Badas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonete Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pellas Badas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonete Lara in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Quin Zahonero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Portugues Fc's Pellas Badas. Pellas Badas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the match, Matanzas FC's Xuaco Romeo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pellas Badas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Real Portugues Fc getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Beltza Zumel hit a great ball. When Xuaco Romeo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Matanzas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xuaco Romeo couldn't finish the play. Quin Zahonero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bonifaco Ribero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eneas Valensuela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Nestor Sariego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Portugues Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Sariego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eneas Valensuela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Real Portugues Fc's Beltza Zumel got a free kick in the 31st minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Xuaco Romeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matanzas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xuaco Romeo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quin Zahonero struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Pellas Badas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matanzas FC. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xuaco Romeo made a kick off. A collision led to Real Portugues Fc getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Opilano Salterain hit a great ball. Pellas Badas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuaco Romeo in the 53rd minute of play. Quin Zahonero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Pellas Badas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Matanzas FC's Xuaco Romeo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pellas Badas. Pellas Badas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Pellas Badas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xuaco Romeo's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Opilano Salterain during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Portugues Fc's Opilano Salterain got a free kick in the 69th minute. Nestor Sariego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneas Valensuela having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Real Portugues Fc's goalkeeper Pellas Badas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quin Zahonero. Quin Zahonero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pellas Badas having to interfere. Quin Zahonero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nestor Sariego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Real Portugues Fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Matanzas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
