If Javier Garrote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maria's Frantxizko Mogrovejo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Maria from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Ostots Varandalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Meniri. Academia Sport Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ostots Varandalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Garrote in the 40th minute of play forced Maria's goalkeeper Frantxizko Mogrovejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Ostots Varandalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ostots Varandalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitxel Fontoria kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Javier Garrote's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frantxizko Mogrovejo was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Javier Garrote made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Maria's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Loranza came free, but Frantxizko Mogrovejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frantxizko Mogrovejo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Garrote in the 55th minute of the match. Ostots Varandalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Meniri having to interfere. If Peter Loranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ostots Varandalla struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Roberto Meniri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maria. A collision led to Academia Sport Fc getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eder Confercin hit a great ball. Eriz Iriusta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitxel Fontoria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Roberto Meniri made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Academia Sport Fc.
