Vitorino Güega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Felipillo Cachorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Cenzano kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Florencio Peñacerrada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Villandiego went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute, Vitorino Güega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Gabriel Villandiego made a precise shot to the right of Florencio Peñacerrada. Botalon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Emenon Tezano came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cumana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emenon Tezano couldn't finish the play. Florencio Peñacerrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Villandiego in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Cumana FC's Gabriel Villandiego nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florencio Peñacerrada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Botalon FC's Florencio Peñacerrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Villandiego in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vitorino Güega made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Gabriel Villandiego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Peñacerrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Botalon FC booed when Cumana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Misael Espuga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Roger Cenzano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cumana FC's Felipillo Cachorro didn't even have to move. But to his dismay, Emenon Tezano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 97th minute, Baladi Palomar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fresco Obarenes made a great header on Cumana FC's corner, it was just that Botalon FC's Florencio Peñacerrada managed to reach the ball for a save. The Botalon FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cumana FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
