Sein Tellado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Millano Hijosa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Froylan Erce. Cupa's Rocendo Quejura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janpier Cigaran in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Cupa booed when Guasduas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafe Ita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Millano Hijosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Froylan Erce having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Gonzalo Bruna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froylan Erce was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Joaquin Genova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocendo Quejura having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Guasduas FC's Janpier Cigaran in the 32nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rocendo Quejura was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Cupa through an amazing save. Janpier Cigaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rocendo Quejura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joaquin Genova came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Guasduas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Genova couldn't finish the play. Guasduas FC's Janpier Cigaran got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Gonzalo Bruna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froylan Erce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bautista Agulla hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Bruna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cupa's Rocendo Quejura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Cupa from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Janpier Cigaran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rocendo Quejura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janpier Cigaran in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Millano Hijosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guasduas FC's Froylan Erce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rocendo Quejura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janpier Cigaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Guasduas FC's Froylan Erce got control of the ball when Gonzalo Bruna tried to sneak it across the goal line.
