Ramirez Cetina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Alegria's Roegelio Ariño got control of the ball when Xuban Pozos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Generosb Cerda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pietro Pizaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Generosb Cerda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pietro Pizaño in the 23rd minute of play. If Xuban Pozos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generosb Cerda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ongile Bodon in the 31st minute of the match. Alegria's Ongile Bodon got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guarico's zone, Lehoi Herencia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generosb Cerda came out of the goal and Lehoi Herencia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pietro Pizaño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Generosb Cerda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ongile Bodon in the 55th minute. When Fausto Villarragut fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarico's protests and gave Fausto Villarragut a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guarico's Fausto Villarragut got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Lohitzun Maltrana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Generosb Cerda skillfully saved the ball. Roegelio Ariño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuban Pozos in the 74th minute of play. Xuban Pozos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roegelio Ariño having to interfere.
