The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ourente Valenciaga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fuentiduena booed when Patacon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ourente Valenciaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzo Ontoria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Paquito Canel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fuentiduena's Paquito Canel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuelo Tigero in the 35th minute of play. Manuelo Tigero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fuentiduena's Peio Aedo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paquito Canel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuelo Tigero in the 43rd minute of play. Gonzo Ontoria struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Paquito Canel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patacon. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peio Aedo was the one to do the kick off. Patacon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fuentiduena the free kick. After 81 played minutes Patacon got a freekick which was hit by Gizon España. Patacon's Bizen Almirall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Patacon from getting a goal against them. After 96 played minutes Fuentiduena got a freekick which was hit by Gutierrre Ontañon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzo Ontoria in the 97th minute of play forced Fuentiduena's goalkeeper Paquito Canel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 100 minutes into the game, Gutierrre Ontañon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fuentiduena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patacon the free kick. Patacon were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
