Mero Cavaneros charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mero Cavaneros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cumaragua FC's Tab Grandoso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guaimure. Karmel Zalvide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Lloret in the 11th minute. If Gaueko Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaueko Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maule Santiso having to interfere. Lano Delgado scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karmel Zalvide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Guaimure booed when Cumaragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Cangas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Gaueko Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Maule Santiso. Cumaragua FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lano Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Karmel Zalvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaueko Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guter Villajane hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Lino Lloret came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Cumaragua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Lloret couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lano Delgado to strike the kick off in the second half. Lino Lloret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karmel Zalvide having to interfere. Bonifacio Cangas was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Cumaragua FC's Bonifacio Cangas got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Gaueko Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maule Santiso. The goal made the score 1-2. Maule Santiso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaueko Illescas's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Henry Laurencio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Gaueko Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Cumaragua FC got a freekick which was hit by Xarles Albear. In the 83rd minute Gaueko Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maule Santiso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaueko Illescas in the 84th minute of play forced Cumaragua FC's goalkeeper Maule Santiso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Lino Lloret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumaragua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Lloret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karmel Zalvide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guaimure had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
