Cristofor Verdesoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesco Señor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Papagayo FC's Estavan Socarras broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gotzon Madama couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Curaguaro defense, Quintan Farras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Muc Noceda. The Curaguaro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Muc Noceda should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Curaguaro's zone, Quintan Farras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Muc Noceda came out of the goal and Quintan Farras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Muc Noceda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintan Farras, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Curaguaro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
