Jaizki Bocos started the match with the kick off. Niceto Aizaran was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Jorge Santo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Santo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some careless play in the Mayori defense, Cordara Fresno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmiro Garzona. The Mayori fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Garzona should have stopped the shot. If Jaizki Bocos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Niceto Aizaran managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Mayori's Jorge Santo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Olo Carrillo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jorge Santo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Niceto Aizaran firmly grabbed it by the left post. Delmiro Garzona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olo Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Olo Carrillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo La Puerta's Tajo Hordas got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garikoitz Trespuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Delmiro Garzona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Deportivo La Puerta's Niceto Aizaran got control of the ball when Seguinus Sarri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cordara Fresno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Delmiro Garzona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urtsin Moure in the 45th minute of play forced Deportivo La Puerta's goalkeeper Niceto Aizaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mayori's Jaizki Bocos got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cordara Fresno to make the kick off. Delmiro Garzona was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Cordara Fresno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cordara Fresno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Cordara Fresno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Delmiro Garzona when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Mayori getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Seguinus Sarri hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Cordara Fresno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delmiro Garzona, 1-3. If Jaizki Bocos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Santo in the 76th minute of play forced Deportivo La Puerta's goalkeeper Niceto Aizaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo La Puerta's zone, Jorge Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Aizaran came out of the goal and Jorge Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olo Carrillo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olo Carrillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Deportivo La Puerta got a freekick which was hit by Olo Carrillo. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mayori fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Delmiro Garzona, was totally fooled by Deportivo La Puerta's Tajo Hordas, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Deportivo La Puerta getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Garikoitz Trespuentes hit a great ball. Cristofor Valencina was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 98 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Deportivo La Puerta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! In the 101st minute there was a penalty for Mayori. Ted Escarraz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Niceto Aizaran. 2-4. Deportivo La Puerta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
