Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pepe Ferreiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mazuste Larrave might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Aller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mazuste Larrave ran back to his position shaking his head. Pepe Ferreiro struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Teofilo Aller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarapoturo FC. Teofilo Aller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazuste Larrave, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Teofilo Aller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazuste Larrave in the 16th minute of play. Dagoberto Zarate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umbruso Ripalta in the 23rd minute of play. When Raul Ascargorta fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarapoturo FC's protests and gave Raul Ascargorta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Raul Ascargorta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernaldo Cuevas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Umbruso Ripalta took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dagoberto Zarate to make any attempt to save it. Umbruso Ripalta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dagoberto Zarate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Umbruso Ripalta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dagoberto Zarate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Panguision sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umbruso Ripalta to strike the kick off in the second half. Sansone Espinoza hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Guarapoturo FC were awarded a corner. Galsino Pena went to the cornerflag to take it. After 65 played minutes, Guarapoturo FC's Perfecto Redeño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teofilo Aller came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guarapoturo FC reached it. Teofilo Aller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepe Ferreiro in the 69th minute of play. Sansone Espinoza hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Teofilo Aller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mazuste Larrave in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Sansone Espinoza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icaparu's supporters rose to their feet, but Sansone Espinoza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dagoberto Zarate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teofilo Aller was a little too slow when Pepe Ferreiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-1. Teofilo Aller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepe Ferreiro in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Guarapoturo FC booed when Icaparu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sansone Espinoza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Icaparu's zone, Pepe Ferreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Aller came out of the goal and Pepe Ferreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Guarapoturo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Umbruso Ripalta came free, but Dagoberto Zarate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Icaparu players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
