In the 11th minute Freddy Aberasturi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haritz Bernardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Theodore Portanares managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Carato FC's Astor Landaburu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Lluciano Larramendi came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Carato FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lluciano Larramendi couldn't finish the play. Astor Landaburu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Portanares having to interfere. Yoel Baeza lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Carato FC's Jesco Cembrana got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Theodore Portanares. Ezequiel Fabregas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haritz Bernardo having to interfere. Haritz Bernardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manilan Archibeque in the 30th minute of play. Astor Landaburu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Theodore Portanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buscatera's Presebal Celada got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Buscatera booed when Carato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artaldo Polla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theodore Portanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astor Landaburu in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carato FC's goalkeeper Haritz Bernardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Fabregas got free with Haritz Bernardo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Carato FC's Goizeder Reborio got a free kick in the 56th minute. Buscatera's Ezequiel Fabregas got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manilan Archibeque got free with Haritz Bernardo in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Ezequiel Fabregas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haritz Bernardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gilmar Pis charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilmar Pis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lluciano Larramendi in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theodore Portanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Haritz Bernardo made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ezequiel Fabregas sent off a good shot on target. Astor Landaburu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Theodore Portanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
