Verdun FC's Xavierlada Guridi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Verdun FC from getting a goal against them. Xavierlada Guridi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lopez Foronda in the 35th minute. If Eleuterio Landeribar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Inguma Villagran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavierlada Guridi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xosepin Garnelo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Lopez Foronda took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavierlada Guridi. Xavierlada Guridi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matia Tebar made a kick off. Nevada Mollinedo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Manoel Alcala took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xavierlada Guridi. Verdun FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eloi Villabona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matia Tebar in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Verdun FC booed when Urumaco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idacio Aranguren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eloi Villabona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matia Tebar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Verdun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inguma Villagran came free, but Xavierlada Guridi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urumaco FC's Eloi Villabona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matia Tebar in the 66th minute of play. Eloi Villabona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julen Merayo in the 71st minute. If Matia Tebar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matia Tebar in the 77th minute of play forced Urumaco FC's goalkeeper Eloi Villabona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Julen Merayo made a precise shot to the right of Eloi Villabona. Urumaco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Kismi Acebal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Julen Merayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verdun FC's goalkeeper Xavierlada Guridi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
