In the 3rd minute, Erasmo Vilella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandalio Govelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilazki Caras in the 6th minute of play. Sandalio Govelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilazki Caras in the 10th minute of the match. Guaviarito's Sandalio Govelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilazki Caras in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Guaviarito getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ospin Sominaya hit a great ball. Ilazki Caras struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Sandalio Govelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inglaterra. Erasmo Vilella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piarres Clusella having to interfere. Ilazki Caras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sandalio Govelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Guaviarito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ospin Sominaya to maneuver through the defense. Sandalio Govelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolfo Anillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Tomas Teijelos short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Piarres Clusella to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 38th minute of the match Quinton Zalaca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandalio Govelo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 41 played minutes Guaviarito got a freekick which was hit by Ospin Sominaya. Dolfo Anillo took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandalio Govelo. Sandalio Govelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Piarres Clusella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo Vilella's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Vilella was the one to do the kick off. Mateus Salero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 60th minute, Tomas Teijelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Piarres Clusella was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Piarres Clusella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Teijelo in the 63rd minute of play. Piarres Clusella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Vilella in the 69th minute of the match. Erasmo Vilella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Teijelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Piarres Clusella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inglaterra's goalkeeper Piarres Clusella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Guaviarito players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
