The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute of the match Xacintu Provencio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Guitart showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Gaudencio Pantigoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Gaudencio Pantigoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guifre Manrique in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ganix Bocinos saved Lugo FC from getting behind. Guifre Manrique received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ganix Bocinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gaudencio Pantigoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, Chaure FC's Gaudencio Pantigoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ganix Bocinos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24thth minute of the game Guifre Manrique who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lugo FC's Ganix Bocinos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Guifre Manrique notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lugo FC's Ganix Bocinos. Ganix Bocinos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luciano Guitart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rameriz Giumill, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Guifre Manrique managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaure FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guifre Manrique was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ganix Bocinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elizardo Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaudencio Pantigoso struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ganix Bocinos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaure FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Lugo FC's Ganix Bocinos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Lugo FC from getting a goal against them. Gaudencio Pantigoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lugo FC's Ganix Bocinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guifre Manrique in the 65th minute of play. Gaudencio Pantigoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ganix Bocinos having to interfere. Ganix Bocinos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guifre Manrique in the 71st minute of play. After 75 minutes of play, Lugo FC's Elizardo Morais made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Guitart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ganix Bocinos made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Gaudencio Pantigoso sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Guitart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elizardo Morais in the 89th minute of play. Gaudencio Pantigoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ganix Bocinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Chaure FC booed when Lugo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafel Llaguno didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guifre Manrique in the 95th minute of play forced Lugo FC's goalkeeper Ganix Bocinos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
