After 17 minutes of play, Mercado's Sedeni Maneiro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teyo Pozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernardino Araoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panfilo Revuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardino Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panfilo Revuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Tostado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Albino came free, but Teyo Pozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claus Albino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Sedeni Maneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 41st minute, Tostado FC's Panfilo Revuelta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 47th minute Claus Albino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teyo Pozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 played minutes Tostado FC got a freekick which was hit by Esquipula Velez. The Tostado FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mercado were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sedeni Maneiro was the one to do the kick off. Bernardino Araoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panfilo Revuelta in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Tostado FC's Evaristo Artache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardino Araoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Teyo Pozo made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Claus Albino sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th match minute, Mercado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tipi Seoane to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th match minute, Tostado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Artache to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mercado getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sedeni Maneiro hit a great ball. Sedeni Maneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th minute, Esquipula Velez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
