The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Dimo Collante fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aventazon's protests and gave Dimo Collante a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sotero Carcedo during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dimo Collante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Armando Almonte made a huge save. A hard shot by Ponc Artacho from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Armando Almonte's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 35 minutes into the match, Sabino's goalkeeper Armando Almonte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimo Collante. After a defensive mix-up in Sabino's zone, Argider Vinas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Almonte came out of the goal and Argider Vinas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ponc Artacho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armando Almonte. Sabino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 45 played minutes Sabino got a freekick which was hit by Bras Entrala. 47 minutes into the match, Sabino's goal looked a bit too open when Argider Vinas came free, but Armando Almonte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sotero Carcedo to make the kick off. Dimo Collante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Armando Almonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atauri Melon's late challenge caught a Aventazon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atauri Melon helped the player get up and apologised. 90 minutes into the game, one of Sabino:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Aventazon a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ponc Artacho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sabino's Armando Almonte. 4-1. After 98 played minutes Sabino got a freekick which was hit by Hanni Reneros. In the 102nd minute of the match Aventazon got a corner. Sabino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ponc Artacho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aventazon walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
