In the 4th minute, Eduardo Cunyat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cordareo Ayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duardo Morellana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duardo Morellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordareo Ayo having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Pitin Peralta notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Campechano FC's Abilio Cao. Abilio Cao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Cacharuco FC's zone, Duardo Morellana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordareo Ayo came out of the goal and Duardo Morellana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cacharuco FC's Sengrat Iñiguez in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Campechano FC's goalie prevented a goal. Salvino Collantes lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 22 minutes into the game, one of Campechano FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 33 played minutes Campechano FC got a freekick which was hit by Dacio Carda. Cacharuco FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Llorienzo Zamanillo in the 36th minute. After 41 played minutes Cacharuco FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Cunyat. With his leg Cordareo Ayo managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Campechano FC's Faustino Loinaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pitin Peralta in the 45th minute of play forced Campechano FC's goalkeeper Abilio Cao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abilio Cao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pitin Peralta went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustino Loinaz made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Faustino Loinaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Cordareo Ayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abilio Cao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pitin Peralta in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Campechano FC's Dacio Carda got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute, Campechano FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sengrat Iñiguez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abilio Cao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pitin Peralta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sengrat Iñiguezs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Abilio Cao to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A wasted opportunity for Cacharuco FC. 81 minutes into the match, Sengrat Iñiguez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abilio Cao, 1-4. 90 minutes into the match, Campechano FC's goalkeeper Abilio Cao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sengrat Iñiguez. When Ruy Laguna fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campechano FC's protests and gave Ruy Laguna a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cacharuco FC booed when Campechano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Laguna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Campechano FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cacharuco FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cacharuco FC.
