Eudoxio Coro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abilio Cao having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Eudoxio Coro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Campechano FC's Abilio Cao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Campechano FC from getting a goal against them. If Eudoxio Coro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Faustino Loinaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flor Asarta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Aureliano Colmenero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abilio Cao, 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Duardo Morellana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flor Asarta. Carabito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duardo Morellana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eudoxio Coro in the 52nd minute of play forced Campechano FC's goalkeeper Abilio Cao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Loinaz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Flor Asarta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The corner ended in Salvino Collantes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carabito's Flor Asarta did a great save. 60 minutes into the game, Juaneizu Pazos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carabito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campechano FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Carabito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Campechano FC:s goal. Salvino Collantes walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Flor Asarta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duardo Morellana in the 63rd minute of play. Campechano FC's Abilio Cao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Colmenero in the 67th minute of play. When Eudoxio Coro came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Carabito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eudoxio Coro couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xosepe Gorostiza during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Campechano FC got a freekick which was hit by Xosepe Gorostiza. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Duardo Morellana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campechano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duardo Morellana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flor Asarta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Campechano FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
