Fausto Piñera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ler Estebanez having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Galipero FC got a freekick which was hit by Veto Santandres. Jaime Cantu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Perlacia in the 7th minute of the match. Jaime Cantu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Palumao FC's Ulises Campo. But to his dismay, Ulises Campo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnulfo Cabo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ler Estebanez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascoal Rey during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pascoal Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Campo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Cantu saved Galipero FC from getting behind. Joseba Zapatero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ler Estebanez having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Palumao FC's Ulises Campo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Cantu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joseba Zapatero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ler Estebanez having to interfere. Ulises Campo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jaime Cantu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ler Estebanez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Cabo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Cantu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Campo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Cabo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oihenarte Zumaya in the 55th minute of play forced Galipero FC's goalkeeper Jaime Cantu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulises Campo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oihenarte Zumaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Weather Gaytan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palumao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galipero FC the free kick. Weather Gaytan hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Arnulfo Cabo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ler Estebanez was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. When Fausto Piñera came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Galipero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Piñera couldn't finish the play. The Galipero FC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Galipero FC's Arnulfo Cabo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fausto Piñera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arnulfo Cabo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Corderall Osa fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palumao FC's protests and gave Corderall Osa a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palumao FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Jaime Cantu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oihenarte Zumaya in the 89th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Galipero FC got a freekick which was hit by Rubio Legaspi. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
