Ur Paratorrecilla got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Rastrojo booed when Laurel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ur Paratorrecilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilesindo Artigue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tartalo Orcajo in the 40th minute of the match. Remicio Osaviaga made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Genaro Rabin sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Laurel's zone, Xusto Marsella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilesindo Artigue came out of the goal and Xusto Marsella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Tartalo Orcajo made the kick off in the second half. Genaro Rabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Tartalo Orcajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilesindo Artigue having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Ritchie Cereceda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd play minute Maurilio Trevilla came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gilesindo Artigue. 0-2. Caitano Alzorbe charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caitano Alzorbe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Caitano Alzorbe kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Laurel's Gilesindo Artigue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Laurel from getting a goal against them. 100 minutes into the match, Laurel's goalkeeper Gilesindo Artigue had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurilio Trevilla. The Rastrojo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rastrojo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
