Muenatauray's Cesar Barriga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Muenatauray from getting a goal against them. If Silvano Castilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Muenatauray got a freekick which was hit by Jago Zarza. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Silvano Castilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viveros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Castilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Barriga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Cesar Barriga managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Viveros FC's Silvano Castilla fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dani Pumar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hotz Lizana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Muenatauray were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernabel Falceto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Muenatauray defense, Silvano Castilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Barriga. The Muenatauray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Barriga should have stopped the shot. Cesar Barriga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Castilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Silvano Castilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Barriga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taurino Pardelas in the 66th minute of play forced Muenatauray's goalkeeper Cesar Barriga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darien Valdecañas struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Hotz Lizana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muenatauray. 73 minutes into the game, Marcelo Rapela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viveros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muenatauray the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darien Valdecañas couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Muenatauray booed when Viveros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvet Cabañero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabel Falceto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hotz Lizana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabel Falceto in the 94th minute of play. Taurino Pardelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 99 minutes into the match, Muenatauray's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Castilla came free, but Cesar Barriga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
