In the 13th minute of the match Leopoldo Uriona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pero Torrez skillfully saved the ball. Mincho Riba hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Pero Torrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivon Riego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Ivon Riego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivon Riego struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Pero Torrez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tronconero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Olañeta in the 31st minute of play forced Tronconero's goalkeeper Arnau Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Moises Balerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Ivon Riego recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pero Torrez. Ivon Riego showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ivon Riego was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Tronconero's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Tronconero getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Nazario Mazuelas hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivon Riego to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnau Pando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Olañeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Moises Balerdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pero Torrez having to interfere. Moises Balerdi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pero Torrez having to make a save. Pero Torrez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivon Riego's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rufio Zamudio couldn't finish the play.
