Lizbeth Gatnau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artaldo Montarco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Pascoal Donis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bela Atienza having to interfere. Pascoal Donis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bela Atienza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artaldo Montarco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Sanchez went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Madrid Merida Vzla CF's Caracakingo Polla got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Emanuel Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unión Lara F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luzea Salces kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Artaldo Montarco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lizbeth Gatnau in the 42nd minute of the match. Artaldo Montarco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Unión Lara F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th match minute, Unión Lara F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tano Mendaza to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Burni Garnica in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bela Atienza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artaldo Montarco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lizbeth Gatnau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unión Lara F.C.'s Bela Atienza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascoal Donis in the 61st minute of play. Bela Atienza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burni Garnica in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Unión Lara F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Burni Garnica came free, but Bela Atienza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aitor Miñano in the 73rd minute of play forced Madrid Merida Vzla CF's goalkeeper Artaldo Montarco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Pascoal Donis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Unión Lara F.C.'s Bela Atienza. Bela Atienza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Sanchezs short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Artaldo Montarco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Emanuel Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artaldo Montarco having to interfere. Artaldo Montarco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lizbeth Gatnau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Burni Garnica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Madrid Merida Vzla CF's zone, Lizbeth Gatnau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artaldo Montarco came out of the goal and Lizbeth Gatnau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unión Lara F.C.'s Emanuel Sanchez got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
