The referee ignored Punta's protests and gave Odilon Dorado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute of the match Lekubegi Saer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricart Casias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 37 played minutes valle grandre fc got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Ribacoba. Franco Mariategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Blasco Ayaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rafael Saenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blasco Ayaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Zaldain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blasco Ayaso made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Franco Mariategui sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Mariategui to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Punta's Rafael Saenz got a free kick in the 55th minute. Rafael Saenz was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. Punta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave valle grandre fc the free kick. After a rather tough play, Punta's Osvaldo Zaldain got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ricart Casias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidoro Uriona in the 68th minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, valle grandre fc's Sidoro Uriona made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricart Casias was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mario Liendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Liendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricart Casias having to interfere. Punta's Ricart Casias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Punta from getting a goal against them. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing valle grandre fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
