When Rodas Tovar came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Junior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodas Tovar couldn't finish the play. A collision led to valle grandre fc getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Enzo Ribacoba hit a great ball. Sidoro Uriona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Vicente Armenteros made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Rodas Tovar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Junior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 24 minutes, Sidoro Uriona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. valle grandre fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidoro Uriona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mario Liendo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the valle grandre fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Liendo couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Rodas Tovar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. George Aldeis spun around in front of the goal 31 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of valle grandre fc's goal. 31 minutes into the match, Rodas Tovar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blasco Ayaso. valle grandre fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodas Tovar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Mario Liendo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the valle grandre fc fans jumped to their feet. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Sidoro Uriona got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 43 minutes into the match, valle grandre fc's Mario Liendo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Armenteros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. valle grandre fc's Sidoro Uriona got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Junior were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Aldeis was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Rodas Tovar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junior's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodas Tovar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blasco Ayaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Blasco Ayaso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Rodas Tovar came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Junior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodas Tovar couldn't finish the play. Mario Liendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Armenteros having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidoro Uriona in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Armenteros saved Junior from getting behind. Blasco Ayaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Euloxu Arredondo in the 66th minute of play. Blasco Ayaso made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Rodas Tovar sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Junior's George Aldeis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. If Rodas Tovar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Liendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Junior eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
