Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Portuguesa f.c's Santio Cañellas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Portuguesa f.c's goalkeeper Delmar Tobar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sendoa Mazorra. Reynardo Sanches received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Delmar Tobar came out and tried to block the shot, but Reynardo Sanches slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Jaizki Trasmiera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oro Blanch, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Francho Palomino fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mochileros's protests and gave Francho Palomino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Mochileros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francho Palomino to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Portuguesa f.c's Baraquiel Cuezba broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Portuguesa f.c's Delmar Tobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynardo Sanches in the 19th minute of play. Portuguesa f.c's Santio Cañellas got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynardo Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Tobar having to interfere. If Reynardo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Reynardo Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Tobar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Firmo Boces hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Reynardo Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Delmar Tobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynardo Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Tobar having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Reynardo Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmar Tobar was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Mochileros's zone, Santio Cañellas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaizki Trasmiera came out of the goal and Santio Cañellas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balendin Zayas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynardo Sanches made a kick off. Delmar Tobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sendoa Mazorra in the 54th minute of play. Sendoa Mazorra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Tobar having to interfere. Froylan Pumareto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynardo Sanches might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Tobar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynardo Sanches ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the game, Sendoa Mazorra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Delmar Tobar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delmar Tobar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sendoa Mazorra's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Sendoa Mazorra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Delmar Tobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Firmo Boces mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portuguesa f.c and the Mochileros players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Sendoa Mazorra came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Mochileros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sendoa Mazorra couldn't finish the play. Delmar Tobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynardo Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Reynardo Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmar Tobar. Portuguesa f.c's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynardo Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Reynardo Sanches struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Delmar Tobar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mochileros. Reynardo Sanches might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Tobar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynardo Sanches ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynardo Sanches in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmar Tobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 96 minutes into the game, Oro Blanch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jaizki Trasmiera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mochileros walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
