Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santio Cañellas in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brun Pozuelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Firmo Altares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Tobar having to interfere. Otsoa Amo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Brun Pozuelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Firmo Altares came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Armagedas Athletic Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Firmo Altares couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bernardino Juez's late challenge caught a Portuguesa f.c's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmar Tobar came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Armagedas Athletic Club's Rainerio Hermida. But to his dismay, Rainerio Hermida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Brun Pozuelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santio Cañellas in the 97th minute of the match.
